Commissioned by the Barlow Endowment for Music Composition for the Minneapolis-based ensemble Zeitgeist. In four movements. Last movement requires a tape playback. Premiered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, byZeitgeist, at the Guthrie Theater on May 19, 1994.
