Premiered at Music in The Loft by guitarist Rami Vamos and Pacifica String Quartet on November 18, 2006. The original tune by Jorge Drexler won the 2004 Academy Award for best soundtrack. Commissioned by cellist Carlos Prieto in connection with activities surrounding the release of his book The Adventures of a Cello (University of Texas Press).
